Membership & Fees
Membership of the association consists of three categories – Full Members, Associate Members, and Honorary Members.
Individual annual membership fee for full membership is $20
Individual Life Membership fee is $100 or $150 for husband and wife where they both qualify for Full Membership
Associate Membership fee is $10 per year.
Associate Membership – Any past student of the University who was enrolled at any time in a course of study of any faculty, Post-graduate Institute or school of the University of Peradeniya; or who has been a staff member of the University and is also a graduate of a recognised University, may be eligible to apply for Associate Membership of the Association. On acceptance of such an application, the member will be required to pay the prescribed annual subscription fee.
Full Membership – Any person who is either
- a graduate of the University of Peradeniya or has obtained a postgraduate qualification of the university or
- an associate member who has been a member for a continuous period of three years
shall be eligible to apply for full membership of the Association. On acceptance of such an application, the Full Member may choose to either pay an annual subscription fee or the prescribed fee for Life Membership.
Honorary Members – A full member may propose to the Executive Committee for consideration for conferment of honorary membership of the association of either
- any person who has been conferred a degree honoris causa by the University, or
- The spouse, a child or grandchild, who is resident in New Zealand, of any person who is a Full Member or would have qualified for full membership of the Association.

Current Executive Committee
The Office bearers of the Association consist of the President, two Co-Vice Presidents one of whom shall be a female member, Secretary, Assistant Secretary, Treasurer, and Assistant Treasurer.
The Executive Committee shall comprise of all the Office bearers and a maximum of eight committee members elected from among the members. The immediate Past President is also an ex-officio member of the Executive Committee.

Meetings
The Executive Committee holds regular meetings not less than once every quarter.
The annual general meeting is held every year, before the end of March unless a critical situation prevailing in the country forces postponement. In which case, the Annual General Meeting can be postponed for a maximum period of six months.
A Special General meeting of the Association is convened by the Secretary of the Association at the written request of not less than twenty full members or at the request of the Executive Committee.
